Affiliate School Liaison Course
Course Description: This course provides instruction for Affiliate School Liaisons (ASL) assigned to CCAF affiliated technical schools within the CCAF enterprise. Training provided will enable ASLs to effectively manage instructor academic qualifications, accreditation standards in accordance with CCAF Policies, Procedures & Guidelines (PPG), & operational use of STARS-FD system.
Course Location: online via Canvas & operated from building 826, room 203 on Gunter Annex (across the street from the Fire Station)100 South Turner Blvd, Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, 36114-3011, Community College of the Air Force.
Course Credits: 1 Semester Hour (pending CCAF credit evaluation)
Eligibility: Primary and Alternate ASL assigned by the CCAF affiliated school commander or commandant
Funding: This course is funded by the ASL’s assigned unit.
Enrollment Procedures: Students will enroll via the ASL Course SharePoint site at https://cs2.eis.af.mil/sites/er/0041/sitepages/home.aspx.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the duties of an ASL
- Ensure understanding of PPG & associated regulations
- Navigate & understand the STARS-FD system
- How to manage daily activities using reports
- Understand the Compliance Requirements Visit (CRV) process & desired outcome
Quota Control: No more than 8 students for the in-residence course & no more than 15 students for the online course.
Duration: This course should take approximately 3 academic training days to complete.

Assessment: All ASLs are required to pass the written exam with a minimum score of 70%.
